White Stripes To Release Icky Thump

Although no release date has been set, the new White Stripes album, recorded in about 3 weeks, will be called Icky Thump.

Sounds gross. What exactly is an icky thump?

Stereogum tells us that icky thump comes from, "taking Brit slang "ecky thump" (as in "What the ecky thump is that?") and misspelling it for "kicks" and "metaphors."

Other song titles include:

"Catch Hell Blues"
"Little Cream Soda"
"Monkeys Have It Easy" (discarded)
"Rag and Bone"
"Clicky Bump" (retitled into something pleasant)
"Blue Orchid" (relocated to previous album)
"You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)"

I am NOT trying to be mean but she's already done it once before and with her condition she needs more than rehab. She's on the verge of a mental/emotional breakdown. Personally ---- I hope she doesnt relapse but I dont think it will happen especially with the pressures of hollywood and being a single mother. Maybe its just me though ........ UPDATE : Oops ---she did it again ! Britney Spears has once again withdrawn herself from the rehab facility !

White Stripes Sign New Deal

After record label V2 went under, many bands were left label less, including The White Stripes.

The Modern Age announces that The White Stripes have landed a one album record deal with huge label: Warner Brothers Records.

Although this is great news for the band, NME reports that â�œThe new contract is for a one-album deal and, unlike their V2 contract, does not involve Jack Whiteâ�™s label Third Man.â�

Third Man is how The White Stripes put their CD's out in the UK, so this may cause a problem.

Perhaps White can afford a new label if they receive the 3-4 million dollars they were rumored to get from their new record deal.

Seriously --- I think she's a lesbian. I saw her a couple of wks back licking the neighbor's (female) cat's pussy. To be honest -- it was hilarious. Ok --- I know I already posted a journal on this topic but .... I JUST PRE-ORDERED MY COPY OF HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS ----The seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series ..... I AM SO HAPPY :) ------ I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to get a copy b/c I didnt know if I would have the $$ but my mum explained to me that the company wouldn't debit my account until it was shipped (in JULY) so I went ahead and pre-ordered it ....I AM SO HAPPY :) -------The only problem is I am afraid that JK Rowling might kill Harry .... SHE CAN'T KILL HIM !!
